CATALYST: A Helping Hand, P.C.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S9544), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC-301113) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT- T3035). I hold a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, with a graduate certificate in play therapy from the University of NC-Charlotte. I also completed a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from the University of NC-Greensboro.
I have had a lot of professional experience that assist me in helping others. I have worked as a mental health therapist in various settings and with ages 1-91 years old. In addition to this I have worked as a mediator, peace worker, a teacher, an artist and youth mentor both here and abroad. All of my work even as a young teen was in an effort to help others in need.
I have also had personal experiences with the helping professions that have provided me with unique insight that can help all of my clients. But in particular, it allows me to connect with young clients struggling, as I did, because of not finding the right mental health services or academic setting. But, I also work with all ages and have experience with many type of therapy services.
Through my experiences, I have learned both personally and professionally just how important it is to find the right help at the right time. By synthesizing my counseling and conflict resolution training I will utilize different modalities and theoretical approaches. I will individualize a unique approach for each client in order to best help them.
